    Hey D.! Yeah, my internet connection is totally unreliable, and it's so frustrating! So, I have become one of the "Silent People". LOL...I have satellite and wireless high speed, so it's just trouble all the way around.

    Yeah, I studied the Gazal poetry form in my Turkish Ottoman Court Poetry class at IU. I was taught that it originated in Iran, but then again the Persian Empire encompassed modern-day Pakistan and Uzbekistan. It is the "love poetry" of the royal court.

    I have a sneeking suspicion that many of the forms of the classical poetry are also revealed in the phrasing of the classical music of the same genre. And because we as dancers reflect the music, our phrasing must go with the music...well, one day our dance will be as respected as classical literature, inshallah :)))
